Giants Expect Rookie RB David Wilson Be A Big Contributor This Season

According to New York Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram, first-round pick David Wilson will be an “integral part of what we do this year.”

“He is going to be a contributor that they will at least have to try to defend because he does have that exceptional kind of speed that you’re looking for,” Ingram said, via the New York Daily News.

Ahmad Bradshaw is clearly the Giants No. 1 running back, but they’ve made it a point to feature multiple players in the running game, so it’s safe to assume that Wilson will get a fair-share of the team’s carries this season. He has a lot of upside and Bradshaw has dealt with a number of injuries in recent years, so it’s certainly a possibility that could be asked to handle a larger workload at some point during the season.
