Adam Caplan of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Giants are expected to sign former Ravens S Jeromy Miles to a contract on Wednesday.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that Miles will receive a one-year contract from the Giants.

There was talk a few months ago that a return to the Ravens was a possibility, but beyond that there wasn’t all that much reported interest in Miles.

Miles, 27, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2010. He spent a little over three years in Cincinnati before he was waived and later claimed by the Ravens in September of last year.

In 2014, Miles appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens last year and recorded 28 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble, a recovery and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 23 safety out of 87 qualifying players.

We had Miles listed as the No. 15 player in our Top 25 Best Available Free Agents list.
