Report: Giants FS Stevie Brown Has Torn ACL

Update:

Adam Schefter of ESPN confirms that FS Stevie Brown has torn his ACL, and therefore is out for the entire season.

Veteran Ryan Mundy will fill in for the time begin, as the Giants weight their options. We have Brown listed as the No. 43 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.

Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that the New York Giants FS Stevie Brown might have torn his ACL.

A torn ACL would undoubtedly mean that Brown would be out for the entire season and force Ryan Mundy to fill the void while the Giants decide on what to do.

Brown went down on Saturday’s night game against the Jets in a non-contact play. Brown is scheduled to have an MRI today, while head coach Tom Coughlin will address the media later on this Sunday afternoon.

Brown, 26, is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
