Giants Signing TE Rhett Ellison To Four-Year, $18M Deal

Mike Garafolo reports that the Giants are signing TE Rhett Ellison to a four-year, $18 million deal.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Giants are “honing in on” free agent TEĀ Rhett Ellison.

  • Tom Pelissero hears that the Jaguars are also interested in Ellison, who could get around $5 million per year.

Ellison, 28, played out hisĀ four-year, $2.4 million rookie contractĀ that included a $300,584 signing bonus.Ā His 2015 season, unfortunately, came to an end after heĀ suffered a torn patellar tendon during their Week 15Ā win over the Packers.

The Vikings re-signed Ellison to aĀ one-year, $2.25 million contract back in March of last year.

In 2016, Ellison appeared in 15 games for the Vikings and caught 9 passes for 57 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
