New York Giants owner John Mara told reporters that he “would love to have” to have DE Osi Umenyiora back for another season, per Jenny Vrentas.
Umenyiora, 31, has already mentioned that there’s a good chance that he will be playing elsewhere next season. Umenyiora also said that he would like to be back with the Giants next season, so it seems as though he’s approaching the situation from a realistic perspective.
Pro Football Focus had Umenyiora rated towards the middle of the pack this season, but he did grade out well in terms of rushing the passer, which is really the part of his game that prospective teams will probably be most concerned with.
