There was more speculation today about the possible destinations for Bill Cowher. The Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns have already been mentioned as teams that could pursue Cowher as their new head coach.
Today, the New York Giants were added to the list of suitors for Cowher’s services. Tom Coughlin’s seat is getting hotter and hotter with every poor performance and today’s loss to the Titans looked similar to the beat down that they suffered at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday night. The Giants were able to move the ball better than they did last week but wasn’t able to minimize the turnovers which led to the team playing catchup for most of the game.
With the Jets getting all the attention in New York, the Giants could be forced to shake things up and bring a coach like Bill Cowher in to turn the team around. Cowher has already mentioned that he has no intention of talking to any team that currently has a coach in place so it’s same to assume that negotiations will have to take place during the offseason.
