A Giants source tells Dianna Russini that the feeling with the building on Thursday is that New York is looking to trade down from No. 2 overall.
Russini asked him why and he said: “We have a ton of needs.”
It shouldn’t come as a big surprise to hear that the Giants are interested in trading back, considering that rumors and reports have said as much for a few months now.
However, it remains to be seen whether a team like the Bills will be willing to part with the kind of draft compensation it would take to move up to No. 2 overall. Beyond that, the Giants would take themselves out of position to get one of the top prospects in the draft.
Some have said that it could take a team like the Bills to first trade up into the top six picks and then work on a deal with the Giants for No. 2 overall.
