Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports that the Giants are unlikely to activate LT Will Beatty, who is on the PUP list with a pectoral injury, before Thursday’s deadline.

According to Raanan, Beatty is expected to remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the 2015 season.

Beatty, unfortunately, tore his pectoral muscle while working in the weight room back in May. He was able to practice in recent weeks, but it appears as though he isn’t as far along as he would need to be to return to the playing field.

The Giants will move forward with rookie Ereck Flowers at left tackle and Marshall Newhouse at right tackle for the foreseeable future.

Beatty, 30, is in the third year of his five-year, $37.5 million contract that included $19 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $5.5 million (2015), $6.625 million (2016) and $6.775 million (2017) over the next three years.

New York has until 4 p.m. EST today to activate Beatty.
