Giants OL Eric Herman Suspended Four Games For PED Violation

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that Giants OL Eric Herman has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Here’s a statement released by Herman:

“The NFL requires a therapeutic use exemption for permission to take certain medications. I have a TUE for one medication, but not another stimulant that treats the same condition. Unfortunately, a stimulant for which I don’t have a TUE was in my body, and the rules are very strict so I am taking responsibility for my mistake. I sincerely apologize to my teammates and coaches. I will not make the same mistake in the future, and I will spend the four weeks working hard to be ready to return to work.

The Giants used a seventh-round draft pick on Herman last year. However, he was waived at the start of the regular season and ultimately ended up on their practice squad.

As of now, the Giants have Herman listed as the No. 3 center on their  recently released depth chart.
