Giants OL Justin Pugh Expected To Miss 3-4 Weeks With MCL Sprain

Giants HC Ben McAdoo announced Monday that OL Justin Pugh has a knee sprain. Ian Rapoport reports that Pugh is specifically dealing with an MCL sprain that will likely keep him out three to four weeks.

Pugh, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $8.346 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,157,307 for the 2016 season.

The Giants elected to pick up Pugh’s fifth-year option for the 2017 season that will pay him $8.821 million.

In 2016, Pugh has appeared in eight games and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 1 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
