Giants OT David Diehl Out Six Weeks

The New York Giants announced on Wednesday that OT David Diehl will miss the next six weeks following thumb surgery.

New York announced on Tuesday that first-round pick Justin Pugh has won the right tackle job, which means Diehl may be moved to a guard position upon returning from his recent surgery.

Diehl, 32, is entering the final year of his current contract, so this will be a big season for him before he tests the open market.
