Giants Place DB Aaron Davis On IR After Clearing Waivers

The New York Giants officially placed DB Aaron Davis on injured reserve Wednesday after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Davis, 23, signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out Georgia back in May. However, New York waived him with an injury designation on Tuesday and signed TE Scott Simonson in a corresponding move.

During his four-year college career at Georgia, Davis recorded 184 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, five interceptions, 12 pass defenses, five fumble recoveries, and three forced fumbles.
