Giants Place DL Kristjan Sokoli On Injured Reserve

The New York Giants announced that they have placed DL Kristjan Sokoli on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL.

Sokoli, 26, was taken in the sixth-round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,370,484 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 base salary for the 2016 season when he was cut loose by Seattle.

The Colts later signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season and later called him up to their active roster. Unfortunately, the Colts waived him.

He signed on with the Saints back in September of last year and bounced on and off their practice squad before signing a futures deal with the Giants in January.

In 2015, Sokoli appeared in one game for the Seahawks but did not record any statistics.
