Giants Promote TE Garrett Dickerson, Waive WR/KR Kaelin Clay

According to Art Stapleton, the Giants are promoting TE Garrett Dickerson to their active roster on Tuesday and waiving WR/KR Kaelin Clay.

The Giants are expected to be without TE Evan Engram for a few weeks, so they’re clearly looking to bolster their depth at the position.

Dickerson, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern and later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Giants in June. Unfortunately, he was waived coming out of the preseason, but later signed on to the team’s practice squad.

During his four-year college career at Northwestern, Dickerson caught 88 passes for 896 yards receiving and nine touchdowns over the course of 36 games.
