Giants Promote WR Corey Coleman To Active Roster

The New York Giants have promoted WR Corey Coleman to their active roster on Thursday, according to Jordan Raanan.

Coleman, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $11.654 million contract and set to make base salaries of $1.5 million and $2 million over the next two years of the agreement when he was traded to the Bills for a 2020 seventh-round pick.

Unfortunately, the Bills elected to waive him coming out of the preseason. Coleman signed on with the Patriots but was just cut loose shortly after and signed to their practice squad.

New England elected to cut Coleman from their practice squad after 10 days.

In 2017, Coleman appeared in nine games and caught 23 passes for 305 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 83 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
