Dan Duggan reports that the Giants are promoting S Eric Pinkins to their active roster on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jordan Raanan reports that Giants RB Orleans Darkwa is likely headed to injured reserve with a leg injury.

Pinkins, 25, was taken in the sixth-round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. He was waived at the start of the regular season last year but signed to their practice squad a day later. Pinkins was on and off of their practice squad throughout most of the year.

He later returned to Seattle on an exclusive rights contract back in March. Seattle waived him with an injury designation, which led to him being placed on injured reserve.

The Seahawks ended up cutting Pinkins loose from I.R. with a settlement. The Giants later signed him to a contract back in October.

In 2015, Pinkins appeared in six games for the Seahawks and recorded two tackles.
