Giants Promoting WR Travis Rudolph To Active Roster

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Giants are promoting WR Travis Rudolph to their active roster on Monday.

This was a widely expected move after several Giants’ receivers sustained injuries in their loss to the Chargers including Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Dwayne Harris.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Giants add more receivers in the coming days.

Rudolph, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Giants cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

During his college career, Rudolph caught 153 passes for 2,311 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns over the course of 36 games.
