Giants RB Andre Brown Played His Way Into A Larger Role In The Team’s Offense?

Tim Smith of the New York Daily News writes that Giants RB Andre Brown has most likely played his way into a complimentary role in the team’s offense, even with a healthy Ahmad Bradshaw.

Last night, Brown was able to accumulate 113 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, while first-round pick David Wilson continues to look like an afterthought in their offense.

When we drafted him he reminded us of how we used Derrick Ward in screens, a big, tough inside runner but with more speed than Derrick,’’ said GM Jerry Reese said. “That’s how we liked him back then. He bounced around, but we feel fortunate to get him back. We definitely like him.’’

It will be interesting to see what kind of role Bradshaw has once he’s fully recovered from a neck injury.
