Giants RB David Wilson “Needs A Miracle” To Play Again

A source has told the Newark Star Ledger is reporting that Giants RB David Wilson “needs a miracle” to return to the field.

Multiple sources have also mentioned that Wilson remains is a “long shot to return to the field” after he suffered what the team referred to as a “burner” earlier in the week.

Wilson tweeted that everything was fine on Wednesday, but the Giants reportedly do not feel the same ways.

Mike Garafolo points out that the Giants are one of the more cautious teams when it comes to neck injuries.

Wilson has an examination scheduled for next Monday, which will obviously determine a lot regarding his future in the league.

Wilson, 22, was a first-round pick of the Giants back in 2012. He struggled before his injury last season, only averaging 3.3 yards-per-carry and fumbled twice, which led to him being benched.

The Giants’ backfield consists of Wilson, Rashad JenningsPeyton Hillis, rookie Andre Williams, Michael Cox and Kendall Gaskins.

We will provide more information regarding Wilson’s injury as it becomes available.
