Art Stapleton reports that the Giants have re-signed FB Shane Smith to their practice squad on Friday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Adam Bisnowaty
- DE Jordan Williams
- WR Marquis Bundy
- OL Jon Halapio
- CB Donte Deayon
- CB Tim Scott
- S Ryan Murphy
- WR Travis Rudolph
- WR Ed Eagan
- FB Shane Smith
Smith, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when Giants cut him loose on Wednesday.
In 2017, Smith has been active for three games but has yet to record a statistic for the Giants.
