The New York Giants announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed K Chris Boswell to a contract.
According to the Giants, Boswell will handle the kicking duties for Thursday night’s preseason finale at New England while veteran K Josh Brown is out with a bruised leg.
Boswell, 24, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Rice back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster, but later ended up on the Texans’ practice squad.
The Giants wound up signing him to a future/reserve contract in early January.
Boswell has yet to appear in an NFL game.
