Giants Re-Signing RB Orleans Darkwa To One-Year Deal

Kimberly A. Martin is reporting that the Giants are re-signing RB Orleans Darkwa to a one-year contract.

Darkwa was a restricted free agent, but the Giants to not use a low-round tender on him that would have cost them $1.797 million for the 2017 season.

Darkwa, 25, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 2014. He spent just a few months in Miami before he was signed off of their practice squad by the Giants.

Last year, Darkwa returned to the Giants on a one-year exclsuive rights deal.

In 2016, Darkwa appeared in 10 games for the Giants and rushed 111 yards on 30 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 12 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
