The New York Giants are re-signing restricted free agent DE Kerry Wynn, according to Jordan Raanan.
The Giants placed an original-round tender on Wynn a few days before the start of free agency last month. The tender would cost the Giants around $1.797 million for the 2017 season.
The Patriots brought in Wynn for a visit but did not sign him to an offer sheet.
Wynn, 26, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Richmond back in 2014. He played out his rookie three-year, $1,537,500 contract with the Giants.
In 2016, Wynn appeared in 14 games for the Giants and recorded 12 tackles, a half sack, and a fumble recovery.
