Giants Re-Signing Rookie S Justin Currie

Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, citing an individual with knowledge of the situation, reports that the Giants are re-signing rookie S Justin Currie to a contract.

This move comes just a week after the team placed him on waivers in a move that cleared a roster spot for S Jeromy Miles, who signed a one-year contract with the Giants.

Currie, 21, signed on with New York as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in May. He reportedly “flashed” during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp, and even  even took some snaps with the first-team secondary.

During his four years at Western Michigan, Currie recorded 340 tackles, nine sacks, five interceptions, three forced fumbles and 15 pass defenses.
