Giants Re-Sign Veteran K Josh Brown To A Two-Year, $4M Deal

The Giants have officially announced that they’ve re-signed K Josh Brown.

This is right where I wanted to be, this is the team I wanted to continue to play for,” said Brown. “I love the organization, and would enjoy playing here for the duration until I’m done.”

“Patience is a hard thing when you really want to get something done.” Brown said. “It worked out for both sides. Everybody is happy, everybody did well here. We’re with the Giants; we have an opportunity to win.”

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that the Giants are expected to re-sign veteran K Josh Brown Monday afternoon.

  • According to Vacchiano, Brown is signing a two-year, $4 million contract with $1 million fully guaranteed. .
  • Vacchiano adds that the deal can be worth up $4.75 million in total.

Brown, 36, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2003. He spent five years in Seattle before signing on with the Rams as an unrestricted free agent in 2008.

Brown had a brief stint with the Bengals before catching on with the Giants in 2013.

Last year, Brown appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and converted 30 of 32 field goal attempts (93.8 percent) including all three from 50 yards or more. He also made 44 of 45 extra point tries (97.8 percent) and had 47 touchbacks.
