Giants Release CB Josh Gordy From I.R. With Settlement

The New York Giants released CB Josh Gordy from the injured reserve list with a settlement on Wednesday, according to the NFL Transactions release.

Gordy, 28, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan back in 2010. He has since played for the Packers, Rams, and Colts.

The Giants signed Gordy to a contract back in April, but he was later placed on injured reserve a few weeks back.

In 2014, Gordy appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and recorded 24 tackles, one interception and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 284 total snaps last year.
