Giants Rule Out Odell Beckham Jr For Week 16

The New York Giants announced Friday that WR Odell Beckham Jr. is out for Week 16’s game against the Colts, due to a quad injury.

The Giants also have Alec Ogletree (concussion), Russell Shepard (ankle) and Spencer Pulley (calf) listed as out for Week 16.

This is the third straight game Beckham has missed with a quad issue. However, it’s not all that surprising, considering that he didn’t practice this week.

Beckham, 26, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $10,406,198 contract before the Giants picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Beckham was set to make a base salary of $8,459,000 for the 2018 season when he agreed to a new five-year extension worth up to $95 million and includes $65 million in total guarantees.

In 2018, Beckham has appeared in 12 games for the Giants and recorded 77 receptions for 1,052 yards receiving (13.7 YPC) and six touchdowns.
