Giants Rule Out Odell Beckham Jr (Quad) For Week 15

The New York Giants officially ruled out WR Odell Beckham Jr for Sunday’s game against the Titans, due to a quad injury.

Giants HC Pat Shurmur did, however, say that Beckham hasn’t suffered any setbacks.

“No setbacks. He just can’t go,” Shurmur said, per Art Stapleton.

Indications were that Beckham was unlikely to suit up this week, seeing as he missed the past two practices.

This is the second straight game Beckham has missed with this injury.

Beckham, 26, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $10,406,198 contract before the Giants picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Beckham was set to make a base salary of $8,459,000 for the 2018 season when he agreed to a new five-year extension worth up to $95 million and includes $65 million in total guarantees.

In 2018, Beckham has appeared in 12 games for the Giants and recorded 77 receptions for 1,052 yards receiving (13.7 YPC) and six touchdowns.

  1. Does it ever cease to amaze with this OBJ nonsense? Hopefully this is the 2018 part II, of “Life Without OBJ.” There were no setbacks and video shows OBJ practicing at full speed. Yet! Putz Shurmur declares OBJ a “NO-GO.” What a joke!
It’s amazing OBJ is mentioned in the “same breath” with Jerry Rice. OBJ couldn’t hold a candle to Jerry Rice on Rice’s worst day. And if Jerry Rice had played his entire career in this watered down joke of a league in today’s so called NFL. Rice would have amassed 3,000 rec., 40,000 yds. and 350 tds in his career easily.
OBJ has got to go! The GMEN should trade him to Buffalo. Don’t try and accommodate this “prima donna” by trading him out west, as OBJ wants to happen. Really! $95M for this nonsense. What a waste of money!!!!! Gettleman better grow a pair and start making some serious end of season and 2019 offseason moves.
The GMEN FANS are being played for fools. Maybe we the FANS should boycott the last of the GMEN home games. A no show for attendance and zero tail gates in the lot, combined with not watching them on tv either. Maybe Mara, Gettleman and the rest of the GMEN Brass will get a clue. Or better yet. Maybe we the FANS should boycott the entire 2019 season as well.
