Giants Sign 4 Draft Picks Including First-Round CB Eli Apple

The New York Giants announced Friday that they’ve signed four draft picks to four-year contracts including first-round CB Eli Apple.

  • The other players signed include: WR Sterling Sheppard (2nd), RB Paul Perkins (5th) and Jerell Adams (6th).

Apple, 20, was taken with the No. 10 overall pick by the Giants. It was an interesting pick for New York, considering that they signed Janoris Jenkins to a big-money contract a few months ago. However, Apple gives them a long-term solution to develop in the coming years.

According to OverTheCap.com, Apple receives a four-year contract worth $15,152,320 to go along with a signing bonus of $9,219,868. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his college career at Ohio State, Apple recorded 86 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 17 pass defenses.
