Giants Sign First-Round OT Ereck Flowers

The New York Giants announced the signing of first-round OTĀ Ereck Flowers to a four-year contract on Thursday.

Flowers was among just eight players from the entire 2015 draft class who had yet to finalize his rookie contract. However, he was acting as his own agent, which may have been responsible in the delay in reaching an agreement.

According toĀ OverTheCap.com, Johnson is projected to receive a four-year contract worth $14,391,832 and includes a $8,726,788 signing bonus.

Flowers has a great opportunity at signing a lot of playing time during his rookie season now that LT Will Beatty isĀ out for the next 5-6 months with a torn pectoral muscle. It will be interesting to see if Flowers is able to run away with the starting left tackle job this summer.
