Giants Sign Four Undrafted Rookies, Waive Three Players Including RB Chris Ogbonnaya

The New York Giants announced a number of roster moves on Monday, including the signing of RB Kenneth Harper (Temple), WR Ben Edwards (Richmond), TE Will Tye (Stony Brook) and DT Carlif Taylor (Southern Connecticut State).

In order to make room for these new additions, the Giants terminated the contracts of LB James Davidson, RB Chris Ogbonnaya and S Thomas Gordon.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing these three players will free up $1.53 million in available cap space while creating just $25,000 in dead money.

Ogbonnaya, 29, signed a one-year contract worth $745,000 with the Giants back in early March. Last year, he appeared in seven games and ran for 50 yards on 14 carries (3.6 YPC) and scored a single touchdown.
