Giants Sign LB J.T. Thomas To A Three-Year, $12M Deal

Ian Rapoport reports that the Giants have signed former Jaguars LB J.T. Thomas to a three-year deal worth $12 million with $4.5 million fully guaranteed.

Thomas was a sixth-round pick of the Bears out of West Virginia in 2011.  He spent two injury-marred years in Chicago before being waived.  He spent two seasons in Jacksonville, starting twelve games.

The Giants clearly felt the need to fortify their linebacking corps, as Thomas joins LB Jonathan Casillas as new arrivals.

Pro Football Focus ranked Thomas the No.23 4-3 OLB out of 40 qualifying players.
