Giants Sign S Stevie Brown

The New York Giants announced that they’ve signed veteran S Stevie Brown to a contract on Monday.

All indications were that Brown would be rejoining the Giants as long as he passed his physical on Monday.  Although, recent reports said that he had interest from other NFL teams.

This is a good move for New York, given the number of injuries they’ve sustained at the safety position.

Brown, 28, signed a one-year, $825,000 contract that included a $40,000 signing bonus with the Texans back in April, but was officially released on Saturday.

In 2014, Brown appeared in all 16 games for the Giants last season and recorded 38 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 47 safety out of 87 qualifying players.
