The New York Giants announced that they’ve agreed to terms with third-round S Darian Thompson on Wednesday.
This leaves fourth-round LB B. J. Goodson as the only Giants draft pick who has yet to sign his rookie deal.
Thompson, 22, was taken with the No. 71 overall pick by the Giants. Thompson gives the Giants another young safety prospect, who should be given an opportunity to compete for a starting job this summer along with Nat Berhe, Bennett Jackson, and Mykkele Thompson.
According to OverTheCap.com, Thompson receives a four-year contract worth $3,177,136 to go along with a signing bonus of $837,136.
During his four-year college career at Boise St., Thompson recorded 209 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, one sacks, two forced fumbles, 17 interceptions, and six pass deflections.
