The Giants started today off by announcing that they have signed left guard Shawn Andrews. In order to make room for Andrews, the team waived offensive lineman Cliff Louis.
Despite Andrews obvious talents, the signing comes with a fair amount of risk considering that he was only able to play two games last season and has dealt with serious bouts of depression previously. His upside could easily out-way any amount of risk because Andrews is still only 27 years-old and is a two time Pro Bowler. His presence could really help to solidify an aging group of veterans.
