Giants Sign Supplemental CB Sam Beal

The New York Giants announced Monday that they’ve officially signed supplemental CB Sam Beal to a rookie contract.

Last week, the Giants selected Beal in the third round of this year’s Supplemental draft, which means they will lose their 2019 third-round pick.

Beal was considered by many draft evaluators to be the best Supplemental prospect since Josh Gordon was taken by the Browns back in 2012.

Here are Beal’s Pro Day results:

  • Height: 6-0 7/8 Weight: 178 (187 in spring)
  • 40-yard dash: 4.47/4.55
  • Vertical Jump: 37
  • Broad Jump: 10-6 ‘
  • Short shuttle: 4.09
  • 3-cone: 7.11
  • Bench: DNP

Beal recorded 92 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two interceptions, 19 pass defenses and a forced fumble over the course of three seasons at Western Michigan and 32 games played.
