Giants Sign WR Andrew Turzilli & LB Chris Casher, Cut WR Kevin Norwood & TE Colin Thompson

The New York Giants announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Andrew Turzilli and LB Chris Casher to contracts and waived WR Kevin Norwood and TE Colin Thompson.

Turzilli, 25, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in May of 2015. He was waived at the start of the season, but later signed on to the 49ers’ practice squad.

Tennessee later brought him back when they signed him off of the 49ers’ taxi squad, but he was once again waived coming out of the preseason. The Lions signed him to their practice squad last December but cut him loose a few weeks after this year’s NFL draft.

Turzilli previously served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

In 2015, Turzilli appeared in three games and recorded two receptions for 25 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.
