Giants Signing CB Mike Harris Off Lions Practice Squad

Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reports that the Giants are signing CB Mike Harris off of the Lions’ practice squad.

  • Twentyman adds that the Lions did not have room on their roster to promote him.

The Giants are dealing with some injuries at cornerback such as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle/hamstring) , so it makes sense add some depth for at least this week.

Harris, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He lasted two years with the team, but was later placed on waivers as the Jaguars cut their roster down to 53 players back in August.

Detroit would sign him to their practice squad a few weeks later.

Last year, he appeared in all 16 games and recorded 37 tackles, a fumble recovery and two pass defended.
