Giants Signing S Michael Thomas To Two-Year Deal

Jordan Raanan of ESPN is reporting that the Giants are signing S Michael Thomas is signing a two-year contract on Monday.

Thomas previously visited with the Steelers, but wound up leaving Pittsburgh without a deal.

Thomas, 28, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2012. He bounced on and off the 49ers’ practice squad before the Dolphins signed him off their practice squad back in 2013.

Miami later signed him to two consecutive one-year exclusive rights deals and brought him back on a one-year restricted contract worth $1.797 million for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Thomas appeared in 13 games for the Dolphins and recorded 26 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense. According to Pro Football Focus, Thomas played a total of 153 snaps last year.
