Giants Signing Veteran CB B.W. Webb

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Giants are signing veteran CB B.W. Webb to a one-year contract on Monday.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Webb to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Webb, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Dallas before he was waived and later claimed by the Steelers.

Since then, Webb has played for a few teams including the Titans, Saints and Bears before the Browns signed him to a contract last year. Cleveland brought Webb back on a futures deal only to cut him loose last week.

In 2016, Webb appeared in 14 games and recorded 28 tackles, no sacks, one interception and 11 pass defenses for the Saints. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 76 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players that season.
