Giants Sign Six Tryout Players, Cut Six

The New York Giants announced Monday that they’ve signed six tryout players to contracts including veteran CB Chris Lewis-Harris.

The full list includes:

  1. G Chris Scott
  2. CB Chris Lewis-Harris
  3. G Malcolm Bunche (UCLA)
  4. WR Alonzo Russell
  5. DB Mike Jones (Temple)
  6. RB Robert Martin (Rutgers)

The Giants also cut six players including:

  1. CB Brandon Dixon
  2. OT Adam Bisnowaty
  3. LB Derrick Mathews
  4. CB C.J. Goodwin
  5. TE Stephen Baggett
  6. CB Bryon Fields

Lewis-Harris, 29, wound up signing on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Chattanooga back in 2012. He spent four years in Cincinnati before he was waived during the 2016 season and later claimed off waivers by the Ravens.

The Broncos signed Lewis-Harris to a contract last summer, but he was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason and wound up sitting out the entire 2017 season.

In 2016, Lewis-Harris appeared in 14 games and recorded five tackles, an interception and two pass defenses for the Bengals.
