Giants Signing WR Kevin Ogletree

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Giants are signing veteran WR Kevin Ogletree to a contract.

New York placed WR Victor Cruz on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday with a torn right patellar tendon, so it was likely that they were going to make a roster in the coming days.

The Giants brought Ogletree in for a workout today and were reportedly willing to consider a potential trade for Bills WR Mike Williams, but reports later refuted their level of interest.

Ogletree, 27, signed a one-year contract worth $795,000 with the Lions back in March, but was unfortunately released a few weeks into the season.

Last year, he appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and caught 21 passes for 269 yards receivin and two touchdowns.
