Giants Targeting Jason Snelling Over Bradshaw?

An earlier report from ESPN’s John Clayton indicated that the New York Giants and RB Ahmad Bradshaw are “not close” to coming to an agreement. So far Bradshaw has priced himself out of Miami while the Bengals and Redskins, who had been reported to have interest in him, have brought in different running backs.

Now a league source has informed Pro Football Talk that the Giants are now considering signing RB Jason Snelling. PFT’s source said that the idea is a “definite possibility.”

This is could be a ploy be the Giants to get Bradshaw to bring down his asking price as the market for him seems to be collapsing.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch recently reported that the Rams are also considering signing Snelling.

  1. So true, especially in this scenario. Bradshaw’s agent has to come under some scrutiny here considering that he’s manged to push interested teams away by setting an absurd asking price when the market had to even develop.

I still fell like the Giants are still going to re-sign him. The Snelling move could work but I’m sure that they’d rather have Bradshaw back for another season.
