Giants To Activate OL Geoff Schwartz

The New York Giants announced that they will activate OL Geoff Schwartz Monday from short-term injured reserve.

Schwartz, 28, suffered a dislocated toe in preseason and has subsequently spent this season on injured reserve.

What remains to be seen however, is where New York will play Schwartz.  He has experience across the offensive line, though he will most likely occupy one of the guard spots.  With rookie Weston Richburg needing repetitions at left guard, it seems likely that Schwartz could replace RG John Jerry.

Either way, Schwartz will likely find his way into a starting role on an offensive line that is really struggling.

Schwartz signed a four-year, $16.8 million contract that included $6.2 million guaranteed with the Giants back in March.
