According to Anita Marks, the Giants attempted to trade up for Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes last night and were “very disappointed” they weren’t able to get a deal done.

In the end, the Kansas City Chiefs traded up to the No. 10 overall pick with the Bills to select Mahomes. The trade details are:

Chiefs receive:

  • 2017 first-round pick (No. 10): Patrick Mahomes

Bills receive:

  • 2017 first-round pick (No. 27): Tre’Davious White
  • 2017 third-round pick (No. 91):
  • 2018 first-round pick

The Giants showed a lot of interest in Mahomes during the draft process with HC Ben McAdoo traveling to Texas Tech to work him out during his Pro Day.

During his three-year college career at Texas Tech, Mahomes recorded 857 completions on 1349 attempts (63.5 percent) for 11,252 passing yards, 93 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions.
