Giants “Very Unlikely” To Re-Sign RB Brandon Jacobs

Ralph Vacchiano reports that a reunion between the New York Giants and RB Brandon Jacobs “seems very unlikely” at this point in time.

  • Vacchiano cautions to “never say never” regarding this idea.

There has been some speculation that the Giants may consider bringing back the veteran running back now that Andre Brown will miss a number of weeks due to a left-leg fracture.

Jacobs, 31, hasn’t garnered any interest since the 49ers cut him loose last December. While it seems like an interesting idea, the team is more likely to move forward with Ryan Torrain, Michael Cox and Da’Rel Scott as David Wilson’s backups until Brown has fully healed.
