Giants Waive CB C.J. Goodwin & TE Stephen Baggett

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Giants have placed CB C.J. Goodwin on waivers Monday.

  • Dan Duggan reports that the Giants have also waived TE Stephen Baggett.

Goodwin, 28, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of California of Pennsylvania back in 2014. He bounced on and off their practice squad before signing on with the Falcons’ practice squad.

Atlanta decided to cut him shortly after signing him to a futures contract and was claimed off of waivers by the Cardinals back in December of last year. Arizona tendered him a one-year contract as an exclusive rights free agent but waived a few weeks ago.

Goodwin was later claimed off of waivers by the Giants.

In 2017, Goodwin appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals and recorded nine tackles and no interceptions.
