Giants Waive LB Nico Johnson With Failed Physical Designation

The New York Giants officially waived LB Nico Johnson on Tuesday with a failed physical designation.

Johnson, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Kansas City before he was signed off of the Chiefs’ practice squad bby the Bengals.

After a brief stint with the Redskins, Johnson signed on to the Giants’ practice squad.

In 2015, Johnson was active for a single game, but didn’t record a statistic for the Giants.
