Giants Waive QB Logan Thomas From Practice Squad Again, Re-Sign LB Deontae Skinner

The New York Giants officially re-signed LB Deontae Skinner to their practice squad on Wednesday and waived QB Logan Thomas.

The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Deontae Skinner
  2. WR Geremy Davis
  3. WR Darius Powe
  4. OL Adam Gettis
  5. DE Stansly Maponga
  6. DE Ishaq Williams
  7. CB Donte Deayon
  8. OT Laurence Gibson
  9. DB Doran Grant
  10. G Jon Halapio

Thomas, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Arizona before he was waived and later claimed by the Dolphins.

Thomas is in the third year his four-year, $2,652,092 rookie contract when the Dolphins waived him back in June and he was later claimed by the Giants.

New York later cut Thomas a few weeks ago before adding him to their practice squad. Since then, he’s been on and off of their practice squad.

In 2014, Thomas appeared in two games for the Cardinals, even though they lost Carson Palmer and Stanton for the season. He threw for 81 yards and a touchdown, but completed just a single pass attempt.
