Giants Waive TE Jerome Cunningham & S G.J. Kinne

The New York Giants announced that they’ve placed TE Jerome Cunningham and S G.J. Kinne on waivers Thursday to make room for their undrafted free agent signings.

Cunningham, 24, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Connecticut Stat back in 2014. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster that year, but was later added to their practice squad.

Cunningham was able to make the team in 2015 coming out of the preseason, but he lasted just a few months before he was waived and later added to their practice squad.

In 2015, Cunningham appeared nine games and recorded eight catches for 59 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Kinne, 27, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa back in 2012. He later caught on with the Eagles for a few years before eventually signing on to the Giants’ practice squad at the start of last year.

The Giants elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract.

Kinne has yet to appear in an NFL game.
